Elimination and prevention of scaling, iron and manganese deposits
What is scale?
Hard water contains a large proportion of minerals such as calcium and magnesium, and sometimes iron and manganese.
Over time, water containing these minerals will attach to plumbing and form scale.
Consequences of mineral scale
- Clogged plumbing and regulators
- Pressure loss
- Nipple drinkers sticking or leaking
- Scale has a rough surface that contains pitting, cracks, and crevices which can harbor microorganisms
Over time, this is a substantial cost when one considers the time and money of replacement
Classical chemical approach to remove limescale
- The pH of the water must be reduced by adding an acid to dissolve the mineral scale
- Cleaning process with acids between flocks
Aqua-4D® physical water treatment - A new approach to fight limescale
- Minerals are maintained dissolved in the water
- No deposits inside the pipes and nipple drinkers
- No chemical
- No maintenance
